The NFT collection from the Stuttgart-based luxury automaker Porsche comprises 7,500 NFTs featuring the Porsche 911 sports car. The company set a price of 0.911 Ether per piece as a tribute to the cult model, which at the time of writing equates to about €1,300. The strategy to enter Web3 at this price point was met with backlash from the crypto and fan communities. So far, less than half of the NFT images have sold.
Twitter community disagrees with the price
Feedback from the Twitter community leans toward the view that a cheaper Web3 debut would have been a better fit for the company. View post on X that it would halt minting early. "Our owners have spoken. We will limit our offering and stop minting to create the best experience for an exclusive community."
