The Argentine airline Flybondi is integrating a Web3 service into its ticketing process by issuing e-tickets as NFTs on the Algorand blockchain.

The service is called "Ticket 3.0" and was created in collaboration with TravelX, a Web3 company that specializes in NFT ticketing. With the "NFT tickets," passengers can make changes to their travel details such as name changes. Tickets can also be transferred or sold.

Ticket 3.0 aims to create a more flexible travel experience. "With a modern self-serve module, passengers can easily and independently transfer, rename, or give away their tickets," said Flybondi.

Passengers can buy flight tickets in fiat currency on the Flybondi website, and TravelX will send the synchronized NFT ticket alongside the regular e-ticket. The service on the Algorand platform will initially apply only to domestic flights of the airline.
