Arthur Hayes Expects Bitcoin to Hit $1 Million by 2028

At the technology and crypto conference Token2049 in Dubai, Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, presented a strikingly optimistic outlook for the crypto market. In a speech, Hayes stated that Bitcoin will cross the one million US dollar mark by 2028. His post on X attracted significant attention.

According to Hayes, the reason for his optimism lies in the monetary policy of the US central bank. He expects interest rate cuts from the Federal Reserve to lead to more liquidity in global financial markets, which he believes could significantly boost the prices of risky assets such as Bitcoin. He sees BTC rising to a price of $250,000 before the end of 2025.

Arthur Hayes is not an unknown name in the crypto world. He recently became the youngest African-American crypto billionaire in history. Nowadays, he is considered an influential investor and opinion maker, including through his blog Crypto Trader's Digest.

Although Hayes warned earlier this year of a weak April for Bitcoin — which temporarily turned out to be correct — the "digital gold" is now trading sharply higher again, with a price of 95,000 dollars. Hayes also showed himself to be critical in December: he correctly predicted a sharp decline in the crypto market, after, according to him, expectations regarding Donald Trump within the sector had risen unrealistically high.

It is notable that the BitMEX founding collective, including Hayes himself, was recently pardoned by President Trump. The exchange was previously under fire for violations of anti-money laundering rules and failure to comply with so-called Know Your Customer legislation.
