According to the Avalanche Foundation, this success underscores growing confidence in the blockchain ecosystem ahead of the Avalanche9000 upgrade.
The raised capital will bolster Avalanche's treasury, which currently holds roughly three billion U.S. dollars in its own AVAX tokens.
At the time of writing, AVAX is trading at $52.20, up 3.1% from the previous day. Still a long way from the all-time high of $146.22 set in November 2021.
The Avalanche upgrade brings a number of improvements, including a redesigned subnet operation, a change to validation costs to 1.33 AVAX per month, and a stronger focus on interchain communication.
Avalanche9000 has been active on the Avalanche testnet "Fuji" since November 25. The next step is the mainnet launch, planned for December 16.
