Billionaire bets $100 million on Bitcoin rally

The controversial crypto trader operating under the pseudonym James Wynn isn't deterred by losses. Just a few days after liquidating his previous mega bet, he opens another $100 million Bitcoin position and again bets on a rising price.
According to Hypurrscan data, the liquidation threshold is $103,630, with a leverage of 40x. At time of writing, the position is already almost $600,000 in the red.
Last week, his first $100 million position was liquidated when Bitcoin dipped briefly below $105,000. But Wynn seems fearless. On the social platform X, he calls the community to action:
"Buy that damn dip. Don’t let those bastards liquidate me."
And with success: according to data from dethective, more than $10,000 has now been sent to his blockchain address, a sign that the crypto community is watching and joining in.
Wynns explosive style has been a hot topic for weeks. Not long ago, he also made headlines with an insane $1.2 billion Bitcoin bet, also with 40x leverage.
Whether he stays out of the danger zone this time or gets liquidated again remains to be seen. One thing is certain: James Wynn plays crypto like a gladiator, all or nothing.
