Binance Wants to Buy Voyager Digital

After the FTX scandals came to light, Voyager Digital is being auctioned again. Binance announces interest.

Binance.US plans to bid again on the bankrupt crypto lending service Voyager Digital. This reports Coindesk. In late September, the now-bankrupt crypto exchange FTX acquired the bankrupt Voyager for about $1.4 billion. The bidders in the race: Binance and Wave Financial. The world’s largest crypto exchange offered $50 million at the time. How high the new bid will be remains to be seen. One thing’s for sure: After the FTX scandals disclosed, Voyager will be auctioned again.

Strong rise in Voyager Digital stock

According to a press release, no assets have been transferred from Voyager to FTX.US. Voyager Digital shares (OTCMKTS: VYGVQ) jumped nearly 85 percent in the last five days — no doubt a speculation about an impending takeover by Binance. In July, the former crypto-lending service halted withdrawals in the wake of liquidity issues. Bankruptcy followed shortly after.
