The crypto market is showing its sunny side today: most of the top 100 are green, with Bitcoin proudly leading. Bitcoin is breaking past the 111,000-dollar mark, and is now just 0.7% below its all-time high. Compared to yesterday, the gain is about 2%.
Ethereum adds an extra boost. Ether's price climbs nearly 6% to $2,780. On a weekly basis, ETH is up more than 8%. XRP is also in the spotlight: with a 4% rise, the price hits $2.43 – about an 8% gain vs. a week ago.
The rest of the top 10 mirrors the positive mood: BNB, Solana, Dogecoin, and Tron see gains up to 5%.
The standout mover today is Pudgy Penguins, up a whopping 24% and making waves. On the other end, Tokenize Xchange slides hard, down 14%.
Investor sentiment remains positive. The Fear and Greed Index rises five points to 71, firmly in the greed zone.
Yet the total market cap slips slightly today, by 0.6%. Even as Bitcoin stands on the verge of a fresh record, the total market is still well below December 2024’s peak. Back then, the combined value of all cryptos hit $3.9 trillion, about $500 billion higher than now.
The reason? Bitcoin’s dominance has risen by 11 percentage points over the past six months to 65%. Put simply: more money is flowing into Bitcoin, while altcoins lag behind.
