Bitcoin Around $78,000 as Arbitrum Benefits From Robinhood Chain

Spot bitcoin ETFs keep attracting money, while Arbitrum benefits from activity around Robinhood Chain and DeFi tokens like Curve and Uniswap also move higher.

Bitcoin Around $78,000 as Arbitrum Benefits From Robinhood Chain

Key Takeaways

  • Bitcoin is trading around $78,000 and is slightly lower than midnight UTC, after a sharp move last week from below $63,000 to nearly $81,400.
  • Arbitrum rose nearly 30% in 24 hours, helped by Robinhood Chain, whose 24-hour transaction revenue topped $2 million.
  • Spot bitcoin ETFs saw $202 million in outflows on Friday, but then $217 million in inflows on Monday, while DeFi tokens like Curve and Uniswap also climbed.

Bitcoin is trading around $78,000 (€67,300), putting it slightly below midnight UTC. The price is down about 0.7% over seven days, after the market quickly climbed last week from below $63,000 (€54,300) to nearly $81,400 (€70,200). At the same time, Bitcoin is holding up better than U.S. stock futures, which have also pulled back since midnight.

Bitcoin Cools Off

The calm follows a short squeeze that pushed the price sharply higher last week. After that, Bitcoin has mostly moved sideways to slightly lower. That fits a market that is taking a breather after a fast rally.

Spot bitcoin ETFs saw $202 million (€174 million) in outflows on Friday, after nine straight days of net inflows. During that stretch, according to SoSoValue about $3.04 billion (€2.6 billion) flowed in, the longest streak since April. On Monday, another $217 million (€187 million) in inflows was added. That shows demand through exchange-traded funds is still there, even if the flows change from day to day.

Arbitrum Stands Out

Among the altcoins, Arbitrum stands out. The ARB token rose nearly 30% in 24 hours, while open interest in futures climbed more than 10%. That puts the price trying to stay above 11 cents, without the market looking overheated. Annual funding rates are around 8%.

The rebound is tied to Robinhood Chain, a dedicated Arbitrum chain. Offchain Labs co-founder Steven Goldfeder said Monday that the chain's 24-hour transaction revenue had topped $2 million (€1.7 million), up from about $1.22 million (€1.1 million) a day earlier. In the broader context of 2026, that stands out because Bitcoin has already seen big swings this year and ETF inflows have become a more important part of market structure.

DeFi Holds Up Better

Other DeFi tokens are also doing relatively well. Curve rose 14% to about 35.13 cents, and Uniswap climbed to around $5.80 (€5.00) after an earlier 12% jump. Aave and Morpho also moved slightly higher. That suggests demand in this corner of the crypto market is holding up better for now than in many other altcoins.

For European crypto investors, the main takeaway is that moves like these show how quickly activity on a specific chain can spill over into a token like ARB. The combination of higher revenue, more futures activity, and steady ETF inflows makes it clear that this phase of the crypto market is being driven not just by spot prices, but also by usage, liquidity, and institutional flows.
