Bitcoin has set a new record thanks to the recent price explosion: February was the strongest month ever for the leading cryptocurrency.

The BTC price has risen at a higher rate in the past. However, February 2024 was the month with the largest dollar increase of all time.

One reason is the high demand for BTC spot ETFs from BlackRock, Fidelity and others - in seven weeks, the ETF sponsors pulled more than 300,000 Bitcoin out of the market.

On the other hand, February has historically always been a strong trading month for the cryptocurrency. The median value shows price growth of 15.32 percent for the shortest month of the year.

At the time of writing, the cryptocurrency is trading at $61,714, with a daily loss of 2.2 percent.
