BNB Chain gets two hard forks in August

Binance's BNB Chain gets two upgrades this month. With the Plato upgrade implemented today, the finality of the blockchain has been accelerated. This means blocks are valid faster and block production is stabilized. The second hard fork is scheduled for Aug. 30.

The "Hertz upgrade" is intended to bring the blockchain up to date with recent Ethereum updates. "For compatibility reasons, it is important that these updates are also activated on the BNB chain to ensure smooth development and growth of the ecosystem," developer Arno Bauer told Cointelegraph. BNB fell one percentage point today to $241.
