The company behind Bored Ape Yacht Club has announced a new Bitcoin NFT project, including an auction.

Yuga Labs has announced the launch of its own NFT collection on the Bitcoin blockchain. "TwelveFold" consists of 300 generative Ordinals NFT images that can be purchased via an auction.

The project differs from other Yuga Labs collections in that it doesn't run on the Ethereum blockchain and only contains 300 copies instead of the usual 10,000. The company said the collection is based on ordinals. Storing data on the Bitcoin blockchain via the Ordinals protocol has sparked controversy in the crypto scene.

The TwelveFold auction starts later this week. Details of the auction and the exact timing will be announced 24 hours in advance.
