Cardano hits 3,000 smart contracts milestone

Despite tough market conditions, Cardano is posting successes. Just before its historic update, Cardano reached several milestones. For example, according to Cardano Insights, yesterday the coin surpassed 3.5 million virtual wallets. A day earlier, the milestone of 3,000 smart contracts was reached.

The project currently has the highest developer participation, according to Santiment. The blockchain is also set to receive a major upgrade: "Vasil". With Vasil, the blockchain can handle more transactions and smart contracts require less memory. This will allow more decentralized applications to run on the network. The update has been delayed several times, but it is expected to take place within a few weeks.
