Coinbase is making the source code of "Base" public. This means developers can now help make the L2 network shape.

Base has been live for just over two months. Now the American company is taking a step toward transparency, making the source code of "Base" public.

The crypto exchange announced this in a blog post.

The goal is to allow the community to track the progress of the network and to lend a hand as a developer.

Tinkerers can now view various codes on the developer platform GitHub.

Since the launch of Base, the blockchain has not been without controversy, as it briefly failed in September, leading to no blocks being created.
