CoinMarketCap produces a crypto series

Startups vying for the favor of wealthy crypto investors? There's now a Shark Tank for crypto projects. Filming kicks off in the summer, backed by CoinMarketCap.

CoinMarketCap is producing a reality show to raise global awareness of crypto and Web3. The series, called "Killer Whale", is based on the successful US TV show "Shark Tank".

Within the show, crypto projects will compete for recognition and funding from wealthy investors, the so-called "whales".

"Filming will take place in June in Los Angeles. The show will air later this year on a mix of the world’s biggest streaming platforms in more than 55 countries", CoinMarketCap reveals.

The key investors are "credible VCs, as well as famous Web3 founders," the statement said. The goal is to "open the Web3 door for the next billion people" while "spotlights shine on innovative projects in the industry."
