Ethereum hits investor records

The number of large Ethereum investors has surged. Small investors have also taken advantage of the price drop to buy more.

The price drop of Ether has benefited the Ethereum network. According to on-chain service provider View post on X, there have been 131 new whale addresses on the network since early May. Whales are investors who own large quantities of a cryptocurrency and can influence the price when they sell their coins.

Santiment counts among them the addresses that hold between 1,000 and 100,000 ETH. Their number is now more than 6,600. The share of retail investors owning at least one Ether has also risen to a new record high of more than 1.5 million addresses.

In the weekly trend, the Ether price has risen 26 percent to currently around $1,500 US dollars.
