Today it happened: Ethereum was successfully switched from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake. Shortly after the Merge, the first NFT on Ethereum 2.0 was mined. The name of the digital artwork? "The Transition".

For this, the wallet was dug deep: According to Etherscan, 36ETH in gas was paid — the equivalent of about $60,000.
