The first Gaming DAO is Pokémon Unite World Champion. The success of the dSports team shows how crypto could soon dominate the gaming sector.

The world’s first Gaming DAO celebrates its biggest success to date. BLVKHVND (you say it Blackhand) defeated the best teams on the planet at the Pokémon World Championship in London to claim the title View post on X.

The North American team delivered a dominant performance and remained undefeated throughout the tournament. That also earned them the $500,000 prize.

In an interview with TheGamer after the final, team members said they were advantaged by their high flexibility in preparation and versatile expertise. This could make the squad a beacon for other teams in the esports sector.

BLVKHVND calls itself the first, decentralized esports gaming community (dSports). On its website the DAO talks about ambitions to "be a central part of competition, no matter where members live".

To mark the victory, the DAO published a photo as an NFT on the Ethereum Blockchain to honor the winning team.
