Google Announces Partnership With Polygon

Google and Polygon are joining forces to accelerate Web3 development. Google Cloud will provide Polygon developers with its "Blockchain Node Engine".

Google Cloud is partnering with Polygon Labs to help developers deploy their Web3 products and decentralized apps (dApps) on the Polygon blockchain. Google has announced that its node hosting service, the "Blockchain Node Engine", will be available to developers on the Polygon blockchain.

With the engine, developers can focus on building on Polygon without having to configure or run their own nodes. Google Cloud made the announcement on Thursday during the Consensus conference.

Earlier, the engine was limited to Ethereum and Solana. "The announcement today with Google Cloud is aimed at increasing throughput and enabling use cases in gaming, supply chain management, and DeFi," said Ryan Wyatt, President of Polygon.

Polygon also announced on April 26 the launch of a bridge for its Polygon zkEVM scaling solution. On the same day, asset manager Franklin Templeton launched a $270 million fund on the Polygon blockchain.
