Helium migrates to Solana
The migration date for the Helium IoT network to Solana has been set.

The date for migrating the Helium IoT network to Solana has been set. The switch is planned for the end of March.
Helium heeds the community's call and migrates its blockchain infrastructure to Solana. The project foundation announced this last Friday in a press release.
The deadline is March 27 at 16:00 (CET). The switch is expected to take a total of 24 hours. During this time, core developers will temporarily shut down the blockchain, take a snapshot of the ecosystem, and then transfer accounts and tokens to Solana. HNT, MOBILE and IOT will remain as separate tokens.
Finally, a new version of the Helium Wallet app will complete the move to Solana. However, developers reserve the right to delay the update if bugs or similar issues arise during the migration.
Overall, Helium aims to build a wireless IoT network where devices worldwide can connect to the internet wirelessly without relying on energy-hungry GPS hardware or expensive cellular plans.
