Michael Saylor, the founder and Executive Chairman of Strategy, is once again notably bullish on Bitcoin. In a recent interview with Bloomberg, he states that the price of BTC will eventually rise to $1,000,000 per coin, driven by a massive capital shift from institutional investors.
According to Saylor, Bitcoin will grow into the financial backbone of an AI-powered world economy. In an era where automation and artificial intelligence are central, he sees Bitcoin as the ultimate digital store of value.
The "crypto winter" is, according to Saylor, definitively over. Major investors are ready to step in, but he says they risk being late. “When financial advisors start recommending BTC,” says Saylor, “the buying moment is usually already past.”
Meanwhile, his own company Strategy is aggressively expanding: it now owns 582,000 Bitcoin, worth nearly $63 billion. It is by far the largest publicly traded Bitcoin company in the world.
Strategy’s approach is gaining followers: for example, Metaplanet is copying the model, now owning 8,888 BTC (about $925 million). Metaplanet also announced a $5.4 billion financing plan that will be invested entirely in Bitcoin. GameStop is also flirting with a similar strategy.
Yet big tech giants like Microsoft and Amazon remain on the sidelines. Even the crypto exchange Coinbase, according to founder Brian Armstrong, didn’t dare to build its own Bitcoin reserve: "too risky for our business model."
Saylor himself is thinking beyond a million: he sees a future where Bitcoin could rise to as much as $13 million per coin. With his multi-billion BTC stake, he’s bet billions on BTC.
Madness or genius? His bold $80 billion wager remains a topic of debate.
Bitcoin is around $110,000 at the time of writing, and is poised to break its all-time high of about $111,000. With a market cap of $2.2 trillion, it already ranks among the world’s most valuable assets.
