MicroStrategy has a taste for Bitcoin again. According to a filing with the SEC, MicroStrategy, formerly led by Michael Saylor, has purchased 12,333 Bitcoin. Thanks to this new purchase, the company now owns 152,333 BTC.

The tech company paid an average of $28,136 for the 12,333 BTC. The total value of the latest purchase currently stands at $347 million. This means MicroStrategy now owns 152,333 BTC with a total value of US$4.52 billion. On average, they paid US$29,688 per Bitcoin.

At a current price of US$30,665 (€28,420) per BTC, MicroStrategy's BTC wallet is in the profit zone. According to an accompanying press release, the purchase was partially funded by issuing new shares. MicroStrategy bought the bitcoin in question between April 27 and June 27.

Michael Saylor stepped down as CEO last August. However, he is still considered one of the biggest Bitcoin advocates and is representative of institutional crypto-adoption.
