Swift payment network announces the successful testing of a blockchain project.

According to the report, the network has been testing tokenized asset transfers in collaboration with financial institutions such as BNP Paribas, BNY Mellon and Citi.

The collaboration partners relied on Chainlink as blockchain solutions. Using the recently launched Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), they were able to connect to the Ethereum Sepolia Network.

Sergey Nazarov, co-founder of Chainlink highlights the growing importance of cross-chain protocols: "It is clear that the world's leading banks expect the adoption of digital assets to increase across the banking sector, and that this adoption will take place using multiple blockchain technologies."

Het Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol has only been live since mid-July. The goal of Chainlink is to set interoperability standards in the crypto space.
