"I own some," reveals Joe Rogan on his podcast, the world's most-listened-to podcast. He's incredibly bullish on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

On the show, he drops a bombshell. "I own some Bitcoin," reveals Joe Rogan in a conversation with Canadian comedian Howie Mandel on April 20. With over 11 million average viewers per episode, the Texas-based American is the world's most-listened-to podcaster. A strong ally for the crypto community.

The podcast king has previously spoken out as a Bitcoin and Ethereum fan, and he regularly invites guests from the community, like Beeple, the record-breaking NFT artist of the moment. Three years ago, the comedian also promoted crypto projects, such as Cash App. He spoke about Bitcoin there:

"Bitcoin is a transformative digital coin that works as a decentralized peer-to-peer payments network. It’s run by its users and has no central authority. I love it. I wish it was the way we exchange value, and maybe it will be in the future too."

CBDC warning

In addition, the podcaster and comedian warned last year on another podcast about digital central bank currencies (CBDCs). Governments could soon try to suppress Bitcoin and instead launch their own centralized cryptocurrencies: "They didn’t see it coming. And now they’re freaking out as it establishes itself as an alternative currency."

Joe Rogan is a comedian, martial arts commentator, and for years one of the most successful and controversial podcasters in the world. His show "The Joe Rogan Experience" has been running for 13 years, with more than 2100 episodes and a similar number of guests. The conversations often run for hours. In 2022, Spotify reportedly secured exclusive rights to his show for said to be $100 million, or perhaps $200 million. The exact figure is unknown.
