DeFi update: In terms of daily users, Polygon (MATIC) surpasses Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL).

Ethereum sidechain Polygon has overtaken Ethereum and Solana in terms of user numbers, according to crypto portal Bitcoinist. According to DeFi analytics portal DeFiLlama, Polygon (MATIC) had 428,913 users in the past 24 hours, while Ethereum had only 305,394 users during the same period. Solana, meanwhile, had only 120,873 users.

Polygon is also catching up when it comes to DeFi protocols on the blockchain, although it cannot yet keep pace with Ethereum (446 versus 856). Meanwhile, Polygon is planning a major blockchain change, converting its sidechain to a zkEVM Validium Layer 2 blockchain.
