Ripple exchange breaks through one billion U.S. dollars in trading volume

Ripple's recovery is clearly noticeable on Ripple's native DEX. So far, the trading volume for January is 400 million US dollars. Since its launch last year, it has broken the one billion US dollar volume barrier, as Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced via platform X.
Garlinghouse stated that this growth is one of the reasons why "2024 will certainly be considered one of the most monumental years for Ripple in history." He further highlighted the "promising traction" of Ripple's stablecoin RLUSD, as well as multiple applications for an XRP ETF as positive developments.
XRP, more than any other cryptocurrency, has benefited from Donald Trump's election victory. One reason for this is the reappointment of the SEC chairman. Ripple has had an ongoing conflict with this regulator for years.
With a current price of more than three US dollars, XRP is up almost 500 percent compared to last year. Meanwhile, a fierce dispute has broken out between the XRP and Bitcoin communities in the US over a crypto reserve.
