Robinhood Chain Starts Strong With $3.1 Billion in Volume

Bernstein already ranks Robinhood Chain among the top five networks by DEX volume. Early activity is concentrated in tokenized stocks, stablecoins, and DeFi on Arbitrum.

Robinhood Chain Starts Strong With $3.1 Billion in Volume

Key Takeaways

  • Robinhood Chain pulled in $3.1 billion in DEX volume in its first week after launch.
  • More than 65,000 users on the network hold about $13 million in tokenized stocks and $300 million in stablecoins combined.
  • Bernstein says tokenized real-world assets have grown to more than $51 billion, while tokenized equities are up about 170 percent this year.

Robinhood's new blockchain is getting an early boost. In a note cited by Bernstein, the firm said Robinhood Chain processed $3.1 billion (€2.7 billion) in DEX volume during its first week, after the mainnet went live on July 1.

Fast Growth in Volume

Bernstein now places Robinhood Chain among the top five chains by DEX activity. The network has more than 65,000 users holding roughly $13 million (€11.4 million) in tokenized stocks and $300 million (€262 million) in stablecoins combined. That points to early demand coming not just from trading, but also from people using tokenized assets inside DeFi.

The early traction, according to Bernstein, shows tokenized real-world assets and DeFi starting to overlap more closely. Robinhood Chain runs on Arbitrum as an Ethereum layer-2 and is designed around tokenized real-world assets and decentralized finance. Its use cases include 24/7 trading, self-custody, and onchain lending and collateral. Bernstein also pointed to the broader rise of tokenized stocks being used as collateral, including at Venus Protocol on BNB Chain.

More Than Just Trading

Robinhood is also using the chain to expand its tokenized stocks product. The analysts said the platform pairs tokenized equities with decentralized lending and perpetual futures, while integrations with Uniswap, Morpho, Lighter, Chainlink, and BitGo are intended to improve liquidity and make the network easier to use.

For European crypto readers, that matters because it shows how traditional brokers are using blockchain to bring investment products and DeFi closer together. It may also offer a glimpse of where regulated asset tokenization is headed, even if the network is still in an early testing phase.

Tokenized Assets Keep Gaining Ground

The launch comes as tokenized real-world assets continue to outpace the broader crypto market. Bernstein says the sector has climbed to more than $51 billion (€44.6 billion), about 50 percent higher than at the start of the year, while tokenized equities are up about 170 percent this year to $1.9 billion (€1.7 billion).

Bernstein has an outperform rating on Robinhood with a price target of $130 (€114). The stock was down 0.6 percent in early Monday trading at $111.35 (€97).
