New bail terms limit the FTX founder's internet use to a few websites.
From documents from a U.S. court show that changes were made to the bail conditions for the defendant FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried.
Under the new rules, he may only use his computer for certain activities while under house arrest and only visit certain websites. The sites are limited to those relevant to prep for the trial, according to the docs. Those would include government sites, crypto media, or blockchain explorers.
Additionally, some sites will still be allowed for personal use, including Netflix, Spotify, or online delivery services. On the other hand, most apps and sites used for private communications would be excluded.
To make the measures technically enforceable, Bankman-Fried will be equipped with a specially configured laptop. It will have VPNs and trackers installed so authorities can monitor its use.
As the case progresses, use of his favorite computer game, League of Legends, would also be banned, according to the documents. Likely a hard blow for Sam Bankman-Fried, who spends a lot of time on the video game.
