SEC Holds Talks on Crypto Regulation
The U.S. SEC invites you to the next crypto summit.

The U.S. SEC invites for the next crypto summit. During the meeting, titled "Between a Block and a Hard Place", the regulator aims to lay the groundwork for a “tailored regulation of crypto trading.”
It will be the second round of talks, scheduled for April 11. Attendees include representatives from major industry names like crypto exchanges Coinbase and Uniswap, with the New York Stock Exchange also joining in.
“Hearing concerns and suggestions from the public helps the SEC map out a clear, reasonable, and fair course for the crypto industry,” said Commissioner Hester M. Peirce, head of the SEC’s crypto task force. “I’m looking forward to this round and the rest of the series, as we work together to bring more clarity around crypto – for the American public.”
In total, five of these meetings are planned, each with a different theme. The insights from these sessions could feed into future regulation. Topics for upcoming discussions include crypto custody, tokenization, and DeFi (decentralized finance).
The meetings are open to the public and will be streamed live on the SEC’s website.
