Solana hits record high vs Ethereum
Solana has reached a new all-time high.

Solana has reached a new all-time high. Not the SOL price itself, which is still about 33 percentage points below its record peak. However, compared to Ethereum, Solana has already reached a new high. On Wednesday, the SOL/ETH trading pair climbed to a new record of about 0.0692 ETH.
This is a 600% increase since 2023. The comparison is especially striking when looking at price moves versus last year. While Ether's price has risen by roughly 40 percentage points, Solana's has jumped by nearly 450. Fueled in part by memecoins, trading activity on Solana has surged in recent months. The trading volume on Solana-based decentralized exchanges has sometimes surpassed that of Ethereum.
That a flippening could occur in the future is unlikely but not impossible given the current trend. The fact is: Solana would need almost four times its current market cap for that to happen. Compared with last week, Solana has risen 12% to about $172.
