Strategy expands Bitcoin holdings further
Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) has again made sizable purchases.

Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) has again made sizable purchases. On Monday confirmed by founder Michael Saylor on X that the company bought 4,225 Bitcoin at an average price of $111,827 each. This brings the total investment of this round to about $472.5 million, as also stated in an official press release.
With this purchase, Strategy's total Bitcoin holdings reach an impressive 601,550 BTC, acquired at an average of $71,268 per Bitcoin. This cements the company’s position as the clear leader among Bitcoin Treasury holders—and leaves other institutional players far behind.
Also, Strategy’s stock price (MSTR) is performing well. Since the start of the year, the stock has climbed 44.83 percent, only a few percentage points away from the historic high of $473.
But Strategy isn’t the only one hungry for Bitcoin. More and more companies appear to be following Saylor’s lead:
- Metaplanet, a Japanese company, bought 797 BTC for $93.6 million
- The Blockchain Group from France added 29 BTC for $3.27 million
- Sequans, also French, bought 683 BTC worth $79 million
- Norway’s K33 added 36 BTC, bringing its total to 121 Bitcoin
The institutional buying wave seems far from over, especially now that Bitcoin is pushing to new highs. With a price above $122,000 per BTC, Bitcoin is now valued higher than Amazon in a symbolic shift in the rankings of the world’s most valuable assets.
