Telegram launches its own web browser and mini-app store

Telegram has released its own browser. It works within the app itself. The browser supports "decentralized websites" called TON Sites. TON Sites allow Telegram users to launch their own Web sites and make them available on The Open Network.

In addition, Telegram is launching a mini-app store. There you can pay with Stars, a proprietary type of cryptocurrency. Telegram currently has about 950 million active users. Toncoin has risen 460 percent in the past 12 months. It ranks 9th among cryptocurrencies, with a market capitalization of nearly $17 billion.
