This is the status in the battle between Ripple and the SEC

The first verdict has been delivered, but more lawsuits are coming. We have listed the crucial dates - and open court cases.

The legal battle between Ripple and the SEC continues, but under different circumstances. This new lawsuit does not change the earlier ruling. In it, co-founder Chris Larsen and current CEO Brad Garlinghouse are charged. The charge against them is "aiding and abetting the violation of securities laws." According to court documents, the trial will not begin until April 20, 2024.

In mid-July, the court ruled in favor of Ripple. The court said trading XRP on exchanges is not covered by securities laws, but selling to institutional investors is. The SEC appealed the decision.
