Uniswap launches its own mobile crypto wallet

The popular DeFi exchange Uniswap is launching its own wallet soon. The DeFi platform announced it on Twitter. There's already a test version available for certain users.

The Uniswap Wallet is expected to support iCloud backups and seamless switching between Layer 2 blockchains. However, Apple is still waiting for the mainnet launch.

The mobile Ethereum wallet will initially be available for iOS. Users will have access to a range of DeFi apps that support WalletConnect. Additionally, the transition to Layer 2 blockchains from Polygon, Arbitrum and Optimism should go smoothly.

The app also includes, among other features, iCloud backups for your private keys, in-app charts, coin analyses, and cross-device push notifications.

According to Uniswap, the mainnet launch of the wallet was already planned for December but was blocked by Apple. Uniswap said they had "100 percent" complied with the app store operator's requirements. Apple, however, has not yet given the green light.
