Unity Brings Decentralization to the Gaming Industry

Unity, the gaming engine, is launching 13 crypto projects in its asset store. The platform announced it in a press release. This aims to push decentralization in the gaming sector.

Unity is a cross-platform game engine developed by Unity Technologies. The engine has gradually expanded to support desktop, mobile, console, and virtual reality platforms. Now there are thirteen crypto projects available in the asset store, giving developers access to a range of different blockchain solutions they can implement in their games.

The offerings range from smart contracts to wallet integrations to NFTs. Implementing these is free. Among the projects are, among others, Solana, Tezos, and even MetaMask integrations. The latter option offers a software development kit that lets developers easily connect the MetaMask Wallet to "any Unity-based game".

Recently the provider released a new security update to counter phishing attacks.
