Valour launches EU-wide ETP platform
Tech company Valour has announced in a press release the launch of an EU-wide platform for exchange-traded products (ETP).

Tech company Valour has in a press release announced the launch of an EU-wide platform for exchange-traded products (ETP). The program would give institutional investors access to a wide range of "digital asset-backed securities", including cryptocurrencies.
The new ETP products will be listed on regulated exchanges such as Deutsche Börse/Xetra in Frankfurt am Main, making them accessible to German investors, according to the press release.
"Beyond further strengthening Valour's brand in Europe, the asset-backed program could be particularly interesting for our German investors given potential tax benefits", explains Valour CEO Olivier Newton.
The reason for this is that the ETPs are tax-free after a one-year holding period, similar to cryptocurrencies. With exchange-traded products, investors benefit from price movements but do not have to own the underlying assets.
