President Nayib Bukele announced on Twitter that El Salvador will buy one Bitcoin every day starting tomorrow, November 18. He didn’t say how long he plans to keep it up.

Tron CEO Justin Sun joined Bukele’s initiative: "We will also buy one Bitcoin every day starting tomorrow," said View post on X.

El Salvador, which roughly a year ago made Bitcoin legal tender, currently holds a total of 2,381 Bitcoin. Recently there have been rumors that El Salvador would store its Bitcoin on FTX. Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao has recently quashed this speculation. Amid the falling price and the FTX debacle, the people of El Salvador are growing increasingly skeptical of the government’s Bitcoin strategy, despite the rising number of Bitcoin tourists.
