Whales buy Ethereum: A total of one billion US dollars

410,000 Ethereum in one month: the whales are striking. So far, this is hardly reflected in the price. Yet there is a lot of potential to be discovered in the number two crypto. The whales have bought a billion US dollars in one month.

Last year, the currency's price did not perform so strongly. Bitcoin and many other altcoins did better. Still, it was the the most profitable blockchain. The Ethereum blockchain namely $2.4 billion on it. Investment bank JPMorgan expects Ethereum to outperform Bitcoin by 2024.

There are several updates in the pipeline to make the network faster, among other things. There is also a spot ETF on the horizon.

The price of Ethereum currently stands at €2,167, up just 2 percent over the past month. Its market capitalization is $286 billion.
