Yuga Labs facing lawsuit over trademark infringement

Bored Ape developer Yuga Labs is currently involved in a trademark infringement lawsuit. Earlier this week, a settlement was reached over the 'trademark infringement'.

NFT developer RR/BAYC is said to have copied Yuga Labs. That was reported by crypto portal Forkast, which cites court documents. Begin last year, digital artist Ryder Ripps launched RR/BAYC after accusing Yuga Labs of using racist and antisemitic symbols in their NFT collection.

Yuga Labs denied the allegations and sued Ryder Ripps in June for trademark infringement. The lawsuit is still ongoing.
