$31 million recovered in Euler hack

In mid-March, a hacker stole nearly $200 million from Euler Finance. They have since returned about 90% of the stolen amount.

The hacker behind the DeFi platform Euler Finance repaid about $31 million in three transactions yesterday. That comes from data on Etherscan.

The total value of repaid amounts thus rises to $177 million — about 90 percent of the original amount looted.

Euler Labs said on Twitter: "After successful negotiations, all recoverable funds that were taken from the Euler ledger on March 13 have now been successfully returned by the hacker."

On March 13, the "flash loan attack" on the DeFi platform occurred, with a total of $197 million stolen. Shortly after, Euler issued a bounty. On-chain data also point to a connection with North Korea's Lazarus hacking group.
