Apple Removes Bitcoin Whitepaper

In early April, Apple found the Bitcoin whitepaper in the operating system. Now the tech giant has removed the PDF again from the OS.

The world's largest tech company has removed the Bitcoin whitepaper from all systems with its latest software upgrade. This was confirmed by 9to5mac, a market outlet independent of Apple. According to the report, the Bitcoin manifest disappeared from the system during the release of "macOS Ventura 13.4 Beta 3".

In early April, tech blogger Andy Baio revealed the find: "When I was trying to fix my printer today, I found a PDF copy of Satoshi Nakamoto's Bitcoin whitepaper." Why Apple hid the whitepaper in Apple's software is unclear. Baio suspects there’s a "secret Bitcoin Maxi working at Apple". Another theory that went viral on crypto Twitter — Steve Jobs was Satoshi Nakamoto, the inventor of Bitcoin.
