Bitcoin Miner CleanSpark Invests $145 Million in Upgraded Equipment
The American mining company CleanSpark gears up for the Bitcoin halving by purchasing 45,000 new devices.

The American mining company CleanSpark is preparing for the bitcoin halving by purchasing 45,000 new devices.
CleanSpark has bought 45,000 brand-new Antminer S19 XP's for a total of $144.9 million. The bitcoin mining company announced the deal in a press release on April 11. This will raise CleanSpark's hashrate by more than 6.3 exahashes per second (EH/s), effectively doubling its capacity.
"The Antminer S19 XP is the most energy-efficient Bitcoin mining machine on the market today and a key part of our ongoing effort to build one of the most efficient Bitcoin mining facilities in the country," said Zach Bradford, CleanSpark's CEO.
The equipment is expected to be fully operational at the Sandersville, Georgia, plant by the end of this year. The company is targeting a total hashrate of 16 exahashes per second (EH/s). The moves come ahead of next year’s Bitcoin halving, Bradford said.
