Is Charles Hoskinson Buying CoinDesk?

Now Genesis is preparing for bankruptcy, CoinDesk, also part of the DCG Group, is set to be sold. CoinDesk founder Charles Hoskinson is showing interest.
Crypto media company CoinDesk could pursue a full or partial sale to spur future growth. The Wall Street Journal reports, citing people familiar with the matter.
"In the past few months we have received numerous strong indicators of interest in CoinDesk," said CoinDesk CEO Kevin Wert. In late November, subsidiary Digital Currency Group (DCG) received a $300 million bid.
At the time, potential buyers included "venture groups, family offices, competitors like Blockworks, and hedge funds seeking distressed assets."
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson is now also interested. On X, he stoked the rumors by writing: "I just found out CoinDesk is up for sale." He also posted the following GIF:
View post on X: "I’ll make a few calls and see what the price is." Many of his nearly one million followers are favorable to the idea of the 35-year-old. Whether Hoskinson is genuinely interested in the media company and makes a corresponding bid remains to be seen.
The sale of CoinDesk could help DCG, its parent company, which has run into financial trouble, preserve liquidity.
