Cardano will postpone the long-awaited hard fork "Vasil." But it should be ready "within a few weeks."

Input Output Global (IOG), the development team behind the Cardano blockchain, will postpone the hard fork "Vasil" again. The company announced this in a video. They are now working to fix the final issues of the upgrade, explains chief technology officer Kevin Hammond.

So Cardano has received a new node version in recent days, which among other things cleaned up errors in stake pool operators and in dApps. In general, the goal is to enable "a smooth transition for all involved."

Cardano had already delayed the date for switching the network at the end of June. Now the transition should take place "within a few weeks." However, no exact date was given. In the meantime, the Cardano community awaits "Vasil." The upgrade should significantly boost the network's speed and scalability.
