Crypto exchange Coinbase expects tough times ahead for the company. Dozens of employees were laid off as a cost-saving measure. Coinbase has cut more jobs as a belt-tightening measure for the tough economic times. According to The Information the crypto exchange laid off 60 employees.

More layoffs amid prolonged market conditions

Coinbase CFO Alesia Haas says there will be more layoffs on the way if the market situation does not improve. "If we see revenues continuing to fall, and if we think this will have effects that go beyond the scenarios we've already planned, we'll need to take additional cost-cutting measures," Haas said. Coinbase had already cut 18 percent of its staff in June.
