Ankr, a Web3 infrastructure provider, and Storj, an encrypted cloud storage platform, have launched a collaboration to offer node snapshots as a service via the new Chainsnap platform.
This new service will help reduce the time and storage needed to boot and synchronize blockchain nodes for infrastructure providers, developers, and other Web3 ventures. The goal of the service is to lower barriers to entry and promote decentralization by making it easier to set up and manage nodes.
Chainsnap will significantly speed up blockchain node deployments, as the new service on Chainsnap.io will make on-demand snapshots of blockchain data available for networks like Ethereum, Polygon, and BNB Smart Chain.
Collaboration offers added benefits
Integration with Storj's decentralized storage network brings additional benefits. Customers can benefit from the scalability and reliability of the Storj network, giving them easy access to up-to-date blockchain data. Moreover, the distributed Storj network ensures data is stored securely and durably, with multiple copies spread across several nodes. This boosts resilience and reduces the risk of data loss. By leveraging the infrastructure and tech from Ankr and Storj, customers can deploy blockchain nodes quickly and efficiently, while also enjoying the benefits of decentralized storage and security.
Through the new collaboration, the two companies will jointly develop new features and services to improve the Chainsnap user experience.
