In the past two years, nearly $150 million in crypto donations have gone to Palestinian terror organizations. This reports the Wall Street Journal. The newspaper claims this based on data from blockchain analysis firms Elliptic and BitOk.

It is said that US$43 million went to the terrorist organization Hamas and US$96 million went to "Islamic Jihad." Meanwhile, Israel's secret services have frozen Hamas's cryptowallets.

According to the U.S. government, Hamas' largest financial backer is Iran, with about $100 million a year. Hamas attacked Israel on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023. It fired hundreds of rockets at cities and attacked civilians. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu subsequently declared Israel at war.
