Date set for Ethereum's Shanghai upgrade
Ethereum developers have agreed on a date for the Shanghai upgrade's penultimate testnet.

Ethereum developers have agreed on a date for the penultimate testnet of the Shanghai upgrade.
This comes from a post on Github. On 28 February, a simulation of the update is planned on the Sepolia testnet. It would be the penultimate test before the upgrade goes fully live in March.
This upgrade will unlock blockchain rewards that have been locked since late 2020 as a result of the Ethereum 2.0 design. The project is thus still on track for the planned schedule. Recently, Ethereum successfully completed the Zhejiang testnet. Aside from this, Sepolia, however, is closed and available only to developers.
After Sepolia, there would be one final dress rehearsal on the Goerli network before Shanghai is definitively ready. It is the first major update to the blockchain since the Ethereum-Merge in September 2022.
