Do Kwon reportedly arrested in Montenegro

The Financial Times reports that Montenegrin authorities have arrested crypto fraudster and Terra Luna founder Do Kwon. The Minister of the Interior reportedly announced it on Twitter and Facebook.

According to the South Korean news portal Yonhap News, authorities are now awaiting fingerprint confirmations to ensure the arrested man is indeed Do Kwon. It has been known for months that the Terra Ecosystem founder was in the area. In December last year it was reported that Do Kwon was in Serbia.

If the identity is confirmed — something South Korean authorities expect — Do Kwon will be extradited to his homeland, South Korea. Unlike Kosovo, where the alleged fraudster has also been staying in recent months, Montenegro is a member of the international law enforcement organization called Interpol.
