Eminem and Snoop Dogg perform NFT song

Eminem and Snoop Dogg are self-proclaimed friends of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This Sunday they will perform their NFT track "From the D 2 the LBC" at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Rappers Eminem and Snoop Dogg will perform together this Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), with an NFT twist. Finally, the musicians will perform their latest single "From the D 2 the LBC" live on a kind of Metaverse Stage from the BAYC Metaverse "Otherside".

The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) itself is also part of the show. References to Yuga Labs' controversial NFTs pop up repeatedly in the music video, which was released in June.

Metaverse is becoming bigger in the music industry. This year there's for the first time a Best Metaverse Performance category at the VMAs. Eminem and Snoop Dogg are technically facing off against each other in the Best Hip-Hop Song category.

Eminem and Snoop Dogg are self-proclaimed BAYC fans. Despite allegations of racism against the brand, the rappers own the apes #6723 (Snoop Dogg) and #9055 (Eminem). They appear several times in the music video.
