Fidelity could soon shine with a new crypto product for individual investors. The product "Fidelity Crypto" is being presented on the Fidelity's wealth manager home page.

The financial services provider wants to bring traditional finance together with the crypto sector. It will soon be possible to buy Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) in the Fidelity Investments app.

The transactions are commission-free, but there is a 1 percent spread included. The accompanying custody and trading services will be provided by Fidelity Digital Assets, a subsidiary of the financial services provider.

It isn’t yet clear when the new product will launch. Currently it’s only possible to join a waiting list.

As one of the largest asset managers, the firm is pushing deeper into the crypto space. The U.S. company launched a Bitcoin Spot ETF in Canada. Additionally, the asset manager allows a portion of savings to be invested in Bitcoin as part of the 401(k) retirement plan in the U.S.

Fidelity isn’t the only asset manager embracing crypto. Earlier Apollo announced they want to start offering cryptocurrencies.
